I.S.S. - Thanks to all in 5b

Discuss our clubs' upcoming parties so we may better coordinate timing and logistics, suggest ideas for new events, or any thing else that relates to party planning...

I.S.S. - Thanks to all in 5b

It took a lot of patience for all of the party groups to do what we did this year, but you know what we pulled it off, and did so with style.

I heard nothing but good things about all of the parties this year from our attendees. In fact the only complaining that I did hear was Saturday night when myself and the rest of the I.S.S. gang were walking the halls; we had people upset that I.S.S. was not open, they were demanding more! Sorry folks, loading up on Saturdays are a ton easier then on a Sunday. Maybe next year.

I had many conversations with the hotel convention manager Kate and she loved us all. I really think that this year showed us in a very positive light to the hotel. When the hotel patrol came and popped their heads in to our open door after figuring out which group we were they even exclaimed “Oh! We know you guys, I.S.S. You guys are great!”

Our Café/Lounge in 5230 was a big hit, we have some logistics to work out if we do it again, but people loved it. Somehow a ghost of Biohazard or DeathCon must have snuck into the room though… We ended up having a short skirt contest. Not really our style, but seeing that I was the DJ in the room at the time, one of only two guys, and there were several nice ladies in short skirts I am not complaining.

Our food was happily consumed and people came back for more as usual and brought friends. Our custom soda making was also a big hit. The sugary beverages were sucked down, although in less amounts the usual thanks to the soda. Faux sushi was the dessert of choice and left our usual champion, peanut butter and chocolate fudge, in the dust. Several folks from other party groups stopped by to show support and we thank all of you that did!

It was a great night, a great con, and I am looking forward to next year. Let’s be sure to keep planning and talking so that NWC 32 is bigger and better.
